Ouch - that’s got to hurt!

Brothers Padraig and Keith O’Sullivan bravely agreed to have their chests waxed in aid of charity.

The charity fund-raiser at the Legion Club in Douglas was organised by Padraig’s wife Jenna in memory of her son Ben Cowell, who died 14 years ago at the age of just two.

Ben suffered from Lissencephaly, a rare brain disorder that left him severely mentally and physically disabled. He died at a hospice on the Wirral in 2003 after suffering from a chest infection.

The charity event at the Legion Club raised a total of £2,816 for two local charities - Rebecca House and Sleeping Angel Wood.

Jenna, of Spring Valley Road, Douglas, said: ’It was a fantastic night.’

Our picture shows Padraig O’Sullivan having his chest waxed, with brother Keith and Jenna, together with Sarah Anderson, from Purity beauty salon, who waxed him.
