There is a much-reduced fixture list in the Premier League and Division Two this weekend as a result of the FA Cup contests taking place around the island.
There is only one game scheduled for the Premier League on Saturday when Union Mills travel to Mullen-e-Cloie to face St John’s.
The Millers are currently staring down the barrel of relegation as know that they desperately need to take something from this game to boost their slim survival hopes. At present they occupy the second relegation spot with five points, eight fewer then nearest rivals Ramsey and Colby but having played fewer games.
They could be in for another tough weekend this time around though as the Saints are in mid-table and won the reversve fixture 5-2.
In the second division there are three games taking place, the highlight of which is undoubtedly as the top two go ahead at Ballafletcher where Douglas Royal host Castletown. A win for Royal would see them take a huge step towards sealing promotion.
Elsewhere, Onchan could move back into the top four with a win at home to Gymns, while the bottom two, Michael and Malew, clash at Balleira Road, with the hosts looking for their first win of the season.
